We’re well into 2015 and it’s safe to say that the throwback thrash era is over with or is it? It may or may not be the case, but some bands just don’t give a flying fuck and are still writing cheesy thrashy riffs, incorporating high pitch vocals and doing all this whilst looking good, kicking ass and being slick as ever. Enforcer is just such a band amongst a handful that still stays “true” to the original sound of heavy metal.

Heavy speed/thrash metal is the order of the day, as the band has done nothing but keep it simple over the last few years with a sound that is almost nostalgic. They’ve been up to their usual tricks and released a new album this year titled From Beyond and it is absolute heavy metal worship with a modern day twist.

Ripping and roaring into the first track as you’ll soon understand what Enforcer’s From Beyond is all about. The riffs are plenty and bountiful throughout this incredible incarnation of heavy metal worship with some awesome solos that are executed with startling precision. The final product is tied together by the hell hammers and rounded off by some incredible vocal work. The musical composition speaks volumes of the band’s abilities and showmanship, from leads to rhythms and solos. Then most important is the sound and nothing is cooler than Enforcer’s sound and the soundscape take you throughout the entirety of this record. It has the right amount of cheesiness that just makes it all that more gnarly!

It just gets better and better with each track as you’re treated to something that seems to be a blast from the past! I say riffs, I’m talking Savage’s Loose’n’Lethal –esque riffs you guys. I know it isn’t fair to compare bands, we all do it, but that’s the first thing that came to mind when I heard these jagged riffs. I was absolutely awestruck. This is just phenomenal. It took me forever to listen through this Enforcer record, cause I just listened to each track over and over and over again.  I just can’t get enough! This incarnation of heavy metal worship is definitely from another dimension; one might even say that it’s From Beyond. I would consider this a modern day classic and at this point I sound like a fanboy, but that’s what this record does to you.

I would highly recommend this to anyone who still loves bustin’ some old school heavy metal jams in the vein as Savage, Tank, Nasty Savage, Judas Priest, Speedbreaker, Speedtrap and the list goes on and on. This is a phenomenal release and an ode to true heavy metal! Get it and worship!
