We’ve been keeping a weather eye on Brighton’s Wild Cat Strike since we heard their last single, ‘Horses’, back in the autumn of 2017. Combining postrock soundscapes, elements of folk and emoish vocals, they make a lovely noise indeed.
New single ‘Graves’, released Feb 23rd through Bandcamp, is about “frivolously trying to experience, through healthy means or chaos. Ultimately ending in the same inescapable place. It’s about the coercion of good intentions, and the submission to neurosis” which is some heavy shit but it’s a great tune that we’ve found ourselves humming for days after hearing it.
Wild Cat Strike are currently wrapping up their debut album, a full LP of new material set to emerge later this year, so for now get this single in your ears.
