Cretin – Stranger

‘Stranger’ has been a long time coming and it definitely ticks all the boxes for me, being a solid, heavy release with lyrics written in a humorous way. – By Berns von Bernington

Speedbreaker – Built for Speed

Built for Speed is amongst some of the best I’ve heard this year and is among some of the best speed metal releases I’ve heard in recent years. – By Berns von Bernington

Full of Hell – Full of Hell & Merzbow

Full of Hell & Merzbow is absolutely terrifying, harsh and howling, but that’s how we like it. This collaboration is a phenomenal release and probably one of the best, if not the best of the year. – By Berns von Bernington

Oblivionized/Razoreater/Let It Die – “This Is S.O.A.N.” Live

I introduce to you Oblivionized, Razoreater and Let It Die. This is their live recording and it includes 3 killer sets by 3 killer bands. – By Berns von Bernington

Bunker 66 – Screaming Rock Believers

This fucking rips, mid tempo at times, but it varies with pace right through the record and has such a dirty bass tone; it screams filthy fucking speed metal in the vein of Tank and Nasty Savage, with the blackened touch to round it all off. So something that could be considered a modern Hellhammer. – By Berns von Bernington

P.L.F. – Ultimate Whirlwind of Incineration

I just didn’t feel this record at all, but it is fast and it yeah sure it is mind blowing, but it’s just lacking that final punch and personality that I so desperately was looking for throughout the record in its entirety. Pretty Little Flow’s Ultimate Whirlwind of Incineration just didn’t do it for me. – By Berns von Bernington

Cold World – How The Gods Chill

I would highly recommend this to anyone who’s into hardcore punk and even the hip-hop homies who aren’t afraid to try something different. – By Berns von Bernington

(((O))) Festival Preview: Obscene Extreme Festival

“I’ve been trying my luck for the last three years by attending different festivals around Europe. The majority of these didn’t really cater for my needs from a sub-culture or music fulfillment point of view. Well, that’s until I decided to make it over to a little town called Trutnov in Czech Republic for Obscene Extreme Festival.” – Berns von Bernington

Super Fun Happy Slide – Drop Your Pants & Grind

Short, fast abrasive tunes with a bit of a humorist twist. The record is absolute shitstorm of anti-music warfare from the start to the very last track. – By Berns von Bernington

Expire – Pretty Low

With Pretty Low, Expire gives us 11 tracks of heavy hitting mid-west style hardcore. This is definitely a release for hardcore fans everywhere. – By Berns von Bernington

Vader – Tibi Et Igni

When all is said and done, this is just another incredible record by an incredible band. Thank you, Vader for kicking some ass. – By Berns von Bernington

Bastard Noise / Lack of Interest – Split

Fast, filthy, crushing music and brutal noise. – By Berns von Bernington

Bastardizer – Enforcers Of Evil

It’s fast, it’s gritty and it’s fucking filthy. It rips into you at 100mph and will rip through you like a run-away freight train. – By Berns von Bernington

Scrap Iron – Demo

This delivers a swift kick to the bollocks when it comes to playing fast, unrelenting, no thrills hardcore punk the traditional way and man is it good! – By Berns von Bernington

Peasant – Dead Hand

Imagine standing in a street and having a panzer mow you down. That’s basically Peasant’s sound and it is embodied in 6 killer tracks on their Dead Hand EP. – By Berns von Bernington

Conqueror – Life On Repeat

This album is definitely on par with most of the hardcore albums that have been released this year in my opinion. – By Berns von Bernington
