2019 has been an interesting year for the site. I (Dan) have taken a step back from the day to day running of the site to focus on other projects. It was a big thing for me given the 10 years or so I’d put in to it but I’m ecstatic to say the mantle has been picked up brilliantly by Adriana & Lance who have kept things running beautifully smoothly and with constant good grace. A massive thanks to them.

Meanwhile, Sander & Charlie have kept the Metal & Live parts of the site respectively ticking along nicely. Big thanks to them too. And to Hannah for keeping it all running! And finally a huge thanks, as ever, to the heroic efforts of all of our writers, the bands, Labels, PRs and, of course, you the readers for making this all worth while.

The year has given us another bumper crop of weird, challenging, crazy fun music. So I’ll stop babbling on & let you get to what you’re really here for; our writers’s poll of what they think the best records of 2019 were. Happy browsing & all the best for 2020.
