Three Days Dark from UK: Find Us

In 50 words or less, tell us what you sound like?

Its hard to say because I try to take the music and the writing in all kinds of different directions, but it’s some kind of cross between 60’s/70’s psychedelia and slow-burning motoric krautrock set around traditional song writing.

In 100 words or less, tell us why we should listen to you?

I don’t really know why you should, but if you like eclectic, imaginative psychedelic music, you’ll probably enjoy it. Who knows, Three Days Dark may be your best shiny new thing.

If you had to pick one of your tracks for our readers to listen to, which would it be?

Walk With Me

Give us 3 bands you’d recommend we listen to?

Just randomly: Can (start with Tago Mago) for their uncompromising experimentation; the brilliant self-titled lo-fi debut from Morgan Delt and contemporary Japanese psyche-warriors Kikagaku Moyo.

What inspires your music?

I think I'm most especially inspired by classic songwriting, and head music of one sort or another, whether it's psychedelic rock and pop of different periods, jazz, elecronica, or traditional music from around the world. But really, inspiration can come from anywhere: a book; a poem; a painting; something said in passing; and of course, nature itself.

What we say:

Dark and brooding, yet somehow catchy, rock with a distinct psychedelic tinge. - Dan Salter
