Sick Tapestry hail from Dewsbury, West Yorkshire and consist of cousins Jordan McNamara (drums, vocals) and James Render (lead vocals, synths) along with Rob Hemingway (guitars, bass, vocals). Jordan and Rob were also members of the late psych/doom/sludge band Formes, who achieved some success in their short time as a band with a performance at the Annual Liverpool Festival of Psychedelia whilst also receiving praise from BBC Radio 6 DJ Tom Robinson and also praise from various online blogs. Now from the ashes of Formes rises Sick Tapestry and with their debut EP Self Diagnosis they explore the heavier and often schizophrenic side of Formes in their end days whilst bringing a new melodic edge in the form of vocalist James Render. The music is raw, heavy, melodic and down right strange at times and includes influences from a broad spectrum of metal genres including doom, sludge and post-metal.

Self Diagnosis will be released on the independent Leeds label No Fun Intended. Listen to the exclusive opening track ‘Where?’ here:
