Glasgow’s bone-shaking noise trio, Civil Elegies, are proud to premiere new track ‘THE NEW HARD’ in collaboration with From The Floor sessions.
Part of the band’s set-list while supporting OMO, Big | Brave and Extra Life, this track seemed like the perfect fit for a live session while they were writing and recording their new album over the summer.
‘THE NEW HARD’ showcases what Civil Elegies do so well, as well as pushing into new territory for the band – down-tuned riffs with intense, in-your-face vocals, delivered in a hooky and memorable way.
This is the first release since the bands latest live EP THRUM in 2025, and a follow up to the NO LIFE EP from 2024. Their new album has currently being mixed with a release date sometime in 2027.
Catch Civil Elegies live with Pig Destroyer and EyeHateGod at Glasgow’s Core Fest on November 15, 2026. Tickets available HERE.
Civil Elegies are:
- Hamish Black – vocals, guitar
- Kyalo Searle-Mbullu – guitar
- Grant Donaldson – drums, vocals
