“The conception of Welcome Latino Alien comes from a UFO sighting in 1979. The conversation between an a comercial airplane pilot and the control tower puts us squarely in the pursuit of an alien ship to a commercial plane that went from Palma de Mallorca to Santa Cruz de Tenerife, in Spain.
We liked the idea of the aliens coming to earth to dance salsa, and that was what led us to the final turn that occurs in the song.”
On November 26, the album Playback Maracas have recorded with the Electric Moon Orchestra will be published digitally. An adventure of nine songs that include robotic voices, string instruments, loops, xylophones, disco passages, developments with post-rock moments, danceable explosions, electro-tropical rhythms, keyboards and exotic guitars.
Five videos have come out of this experiment that will support the launch, a kind of digital concert. As part of the release we are presenting “La Verdad, Welcome Latino Alien” for your viewing pleasure.
