Uprising Festival, the East Midlands metal extravaganza makes a welcome return to the O2 Academy in Leicester on Saturday May 25 and this year’s bill, the seventh incarnation of the festival, could easily be the greatest in its history.
With an eclectic bill topped by Swedish mournful, metal masters Katatonia, Uprising 2024 takes place over three rooms and features bands such as masked Mexican marauders Brujeria, bona fide punk legends and D-Beat originators Discharge, Gibraltian metal favourites Breed 77, Swiss progressive metal band Cellar Darling, hardcore crew Borstal, and Finnish forward thinking metal band My Favourite Nemesis to name a few heavy hitters.
Add to this, so many up-and-coming bands playing over the day including Sugar Horse, Tribe Of Ghosts, Forlorn, Mage, Battalions and many more, and you have a full smorgasbord of great bands playing with something for everyone throughout the day.
Don’t forget to turn up early as well as there will be four bands playing for Metal To The Masses (with a slot at this years Bloodstock Festival up for grabs for the winners) that will be more than worth checking out.
Echoes & Dust will be there covering the festival in what will be an epic day of extreme music with so many varied bands and genres represented in full, and we can’t wait!
For those who can’t get enough of the action, there are also pre- and post-events on Friday 24 and Sunday 26t at both the O2 Academy (Sunday) and Firebug (Friday) featuring the likes of Arkona, Ghosts Of Atlantis, Hang The Bastard, and Foul Body Autopsy to keep you rocking in Leicester the entire weekend.
Tickets are available to pre-book HERE.
