Our sound can be described as slightly jazzy twee. It's indie pop that places a great deal of emphasis on melody and tries to bring some cleverness and humor to the table with our lyrics.
In 100 words or less, tell us why we should listen to you?
Well if you don't listen to us you'll never know what you missed. If you're a fan of bands like The National or The Smiths I think there is something here for you. I think we are treading similar territory in that our songs are somewhat literary. It also helps if you're not a fan of religion as critiques of religion and religious extremism make up the subject matter of a lot of our songs. Listening to this sort of thing tends to make you feel smarter and superior. You just can't beat that sense of smug satisfaction.

What inspires your music?
Musically I am inspired by other artists. The Magnetic Fields are a favourite along with many others. I particularly find inspiration when I hear great music used in a film or TV show effectively. Mad Men have a great music supervisor. In almost every episode I've noticed a song selections that really make a major impact on the episode. Often this sort of thing makes me pick up my guitar. A good song is best experienced within the context of something else. That could be within a story or a moment in your life. It's the emotional colouring.
