Dalot & Gavin Miller | bandcamp |
This Is It Forever Records is becoming a firm favourite with myself and others at E&D. Run by Gavin & Tom of worriedaboutsatan, it has been responsible for a lot of my imput on here recently.
As well as using the label to release their own music, they have also put out releases from like minded artists, like the excellent debut Capac album alongside Lucy Clair, W.A.S and solo ventures. Dalot is an artist who has featured on the label previously, having had split releases with M. Cadoo and Gavin previously. Here both contribute a lengthy track each to comprise a split single which will see a limited special physical release.
Dalot is experimental sound artist Maria Papadomanolaki and her track here ‘Dieue Möbsik’ is a sprawling weave of textures and pulsating rhythm. One of the most uptempo tracks by Dalot but still very experimental.
Gavin Miller provides ‘In A Narrower Way’ which meshes new wave atmospherics with electronic layers and a restrained beat. It’s another brilliant addition to Gavin’s solo work and continues to display his skill at fusing electronic textures with live instrumentation. Another excellent release from a prolific and quality label.
Blue Moon is available digitally and physically as a limited USB credit card.
