From the windswept landscapes of Iceland to the echoes of distant shores, Mario Infantes Ávalos embarks on a musical voyage with Bitácora – a sonic journal that transcends borders, languages, and traditions. Known for his remarkable vocal range and deep-rooted passion for cultural storytelling, Mario weaves together a rich tapestry of sounds, featuring collaborations with renowned Icelandic musicians from a variety of backgrounds.
Blurring the lines between past and future, Bitácora fuses the raw energy of metal, the haunting beauty of European folk traditions, and the immersive textures of cinematic soundscapes into a mind bending voyage across an icy musical landscape. Each track is a chapter, each melody a landmark, guiding the listener through a journey of self-discovery, displacement, and the universal longing for connection.
Anchored in innovation yet steeped in tradition, Bítacora is more than an album – it’s an expedition into the unknown, where every note tells a story and every voice carries the weight of history.
