Mattias Svensson, ex-guitarist of the mighty Saturnus, is about to release another heartfelt slab of doom music with his new project named Soijl. Skald‘s vocalist Henrik Kindvall provided the vocals to this project, combining his deep growling style with Soijl’s melodies, balancing the scales of heaviness and emotions.
The album Endless Elysian Fields will be released on September 21st on Solitude Productions. Listen to an exclusive stream of ‘The Cosmic Cold’ below, which illustrates very nicely what you can expect from the whole album. Besides the slow pacing doom with guttural growling vocals, there are huge layers of fine melodies underlying the track, adding an intricate atmosphere to the mix, which makes it a moving and captivating listen.
