Minnesota based sludge/noise/post-metal act Serac has released new music video ‘Hanging Garden’ from their debut album Baring Teeth in a Famine, released last December. Featuring current and former members of Cache, Aziza, Livid, Timesloth & more their sound is a Gross amalgam of sludge, noise rock, and post-metal with environmentally-tinged lyrics. Formed in 2017 their influences include KEN Mode, Neurosis, Torche, and His Hero Is Gone.
Serac comments:
“The release of Baring Teeth in a Famine marks a significant chapter for Serac – a reflection of chaos, survival, and the raw human condition. Christian Moser captured this intensity with the stunning album artwork. Each track is a deep dive into themes of societal collapse, perseverance, and the haunting remnants of a world consumed by its own design. This project is a labor of love, defiance, and grit. Let the sonic assault guide you through the desolation.”
And of video debut ‘Hanging Garden’ guitarist Brent Ericson adds: “This track starts more on the post metal/doom side of things but quickly ramps up the intensity and ends with a groovy noisy crusher of a riff.”
Baring Teeth in a Famine was released in December 2024 and can be purchased and downloaded via Bandcamp HERE
